Viewing the content can become a family bonding time with parents also joining in. There could be a healthy discussion at home too. The student can note down his doubts and discuss with the teacher in class.

The Bloom’s Taxonomy pyramid is about the student moving from Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) to Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). In the traditional method, the LOTS like remembering, understanding happens in the classroom and the HOTS ranging from applying, analysing, evaluating and creating happens through assignments and projects at home.
Flipping brings the HOTS to school.
The students gain the guidance and facilitation of the teacher and the support of their peers in this phase.

While listening to the teacher in class, it is quite possible that a student may be pondering on some point and miss out on some important point that followed.
Now, the student can view and listen at his own pace.
