07 May Be Better – All About Being a Better Person
As we all know, every year in Samashti, we have a theme. Last year, the theme was ‘Balance’, and this year, it is ‘Be Better’.
Every year, we try to implement the theme of the year in any way possible.
This year, we have to strive to be better than ever. Life is a constant exercise in self-improvement, and while some of that focuses on academics, that is not always the case.
Being better doesn’t always mean that we have to be better in the things we struggle with; it can also mean that we can be better in the things we are already good at. There is always room for improvement.
Being better also doesn’t necessarily mean we have to be better at a hobby or sport, it can also mean to be a better person in life and improve ourselves to the fullest. You can also try being better at not only things you like, but also things you dislike as a challenge, and you might end up liking it.
To be better at a hobby or a sport, constant practice and dedication is the key to improvement. But, being a better person is an entirely different concept.
You can’t practice being a better person!
It has to come from the heart.
There are many ways to be a better person. You should start by figuring out why you want to improve yourself as a person. From that, you can make a list of the areas where you think you need to improve. Some areas you can improve on are: controlling your emotions, forgiving others, expressing gratitude, and trying not to deny your flaws. Your flaws are what make you unique.
Everyone has their flaws and areas of imperfection. If you try to deny it or cover it, you can never improve yourself.
So, try to embrace your flaws as they are a part of you and there is nothing you can do about it; the only thing you can do is hope for the best and be better.
Believe in yourself.
