Admission & Payment

What is the age criteria for admission in Samashti?

As per CBSE Guidelines

What are the documents required for application?

  • Birth certificate
  • Aadhar of the student
  • Medical or immunization report mentioning blood Group
  • Govt. issued ID proof of the parent
  • 3 Passport size photos of student

In case of admission from another school:

  • Transfer certificate from previous school
  • Final exam report card

Does Samashti consider mid-session admissions?

Yes, subject to availability of seats, in case of transfer of job and relocation.

What are the payment due dates?

  • First term -10th April
  • Second term- 15th September
  • Third term- 15th December.

Payment may be made for the year as a whole upfront.

What are the options for fee payment?

  • Cash
  • Bank Transfer
  • Credit and Debit Cards
  • UPI

What is the policy regarding admissions of siblings in school?

Siblings will be provided admission on priority and with sibling discounts. (after clearing the competency test).

Is caution fee refundable?

Yes, after applying for TC it will be refunded in at least 20 working days’ time.

Location & Transport

Where is the school located?

We are located at a very serene and peaceful location of Hyderabad. The school is located at Kollur village, Near Exit No: 2 on the ORR, Hyderabad. It is about 10 minutes from the Financial District.

In the case of a long commute from residence to school, how do you ensure safety and comfort of child in the bus?

All buses have a lady attendant. And additionally, most buses have teacher in-charges. The in-charges ensure that proper seating arrangements are made such that younger kids will be seating next to the elder ones and the senior students are made responsible to take care of the younger ones.

Do you provide transport facility? What are the areas covered?

Yes, the school bus facility covers almost 25kms of radius around the campus.

What are the timings of the school?

The school timings are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Saturday timings are from 8:30 am to 1:30pm.

Activities & Facilities

What are the sports offered at the school?

We offer various indoor and outdoor sports such as Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Skating, Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Carrom, Table Tennis, and Chess.

How does the school ensure the safety of the students?

The whole campus is under C.C.T.V surveillance. Security personnel are deployed at strategic points. Both scheduled and surprise checking rounds by school and security staff multiple times through the day is done.

What steps does the school take to ensure proper hygiene?

Periodic sanitization as mandated, daily and hourly cleaning of washrooms, cleaning of classrooms and common areas twice daily by Housekeeping and Maintenance team.

Does my children get a chance to participate in National Olympiads?

Yes, the school students participate in various Olympiad exams from Grade1 onwards.

What are the other activities offered by the school?

Vocal and Instrumental Music, Art & Craft, Self Defence, Dance, Gardening & Farming

What kind of medical facilities are available? How are parents informed in case of an emergency?

Two qualified nurses and infirmary available during school hours. Parents will be informed by class teacher/ coordinator through telephone call in case of any emergency.

Does the school have provision for lunch and snacks for the students? What kind of food is provided?

Yes, we have well maintained and hygienic cafeteria where we serve nutritious vegetarian breakfast and lunch.

Education

What’s the profile of teaching staff at Samashti?

The teaching staff are qualified as per Govt and CBSE rules and are committed to providing holistic education that brings out the best of each student. Regular in-house professional development opportunities are also provided.

What are the languages offered in CBSE curriculum ?

We offer English, Hindi and Telugu languages as per CBSE and State Govt. Guidelines.

What is the assessment/evaluation pattern at Samashti?

Grades 1 to 5 – Cycle Test system is followed. There would be 6 Cycle Tests in a year. Cycle test 1,3 & 5 are activity-based evaluations. Cycle test 2,4 & 6 are pen & paper-based evaluations.

Grades 6 to 10 –

A. Internal Assessment : 20 marks (Periodic Tests, Multiple Assessments, Subject Enrichment Activities, Notebook maintenance)

B. Term-End/ Board Examination: 80 marks ( Pen & Paper)

Is there any provision of foriegn language?

No – French can be offered in case the child has sound knowledge as per the class as a 4th Language.

What is the teacher-student ratio in a class?

1: 25 -30 per section.

Are there any entrance exams for the student before taking admission?

Yes – From Grade 1 onwards there will be a written test and an oral interaction with teacher/coordinator.

Do you give extra support to the children who under-perform in the class?

Through the 6Es method of teaching- Encourage, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate the school ensures that all students bring out their best. Additionally, remedial classes and enrichment classes are provided.

What is the school’s policy on both verbal and corporal punishment?

The school firmly believes in ‘ NO PUNISHMENT’ policy.

What type of teaching methodology is followed in the school?

At Samashti, the teaching is student-centred and activity-based. The 6Es methodology- Encourage, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate- is followed. Students are encouraged to learn through Inquiry.

Communication

How are parents informed about the progress of their child?

The child’s diary is a means of communication between the teacher and parent. Apart from Progress Report Cards, regular PTMs are conducted. The class teacher and wing coordinator can also be contacted through phone.

How will I know what’s happening in my child’s classroom, and in the school?

Every day the details of class work and homework is communicated through the child’s diary. The class teacher would communicate important information through circulars. The school website and social media platforms will provide updated information on school activities.

How does the school communicate with parents?

Through student’s diary, calls, messages and PTM.

How frequently are PTMs conducted?

Every alternate month. However, parents may approach the class teacher to schedule a meeting, if required.

Miscellaneous

Will the school get upgraded each year?

Yes, with lots of new learning techniques and with new classes it will be upgraded, and lots of teacher training activities are done.

Do you undertake background check of all the staff at the school?

Yes.

What is the visiting time for parents to meet teachers? Is it possible to meet Teacher/Counsellor/Principal during the school hours?

Yes. Parents may take prior appointment and meet teacher/counsellor/ principal on working days between 9am and 2 pm.

What does the child wear for his/her birthday?

Any Comfortable and Age appropriate Dress will be allowed

Do you have house system in school?

Yes, we have four houses – Aer, Aqua, Ignis, Terra

Does the school follow or promote any religious beliefs?

The religion of samashti is humanity.
